Choosing the Right Printing Press
It is essential to choose the correct printing press for each unique catalogue production project. A printing press may be suited for multi-page catalogues, whereas another for smaller ones. Printers may also be set up for short runs, and others for printing many thousands of copies.
Without substantial knowledge and expertise in the industry, you wouldn’t know which printing press is right for your job – which is where we are here to help! We ensure that each job goes to the right printing press to ensure the best results at competitive prices.
Saving the Environment
All our printed catalogues are produced on FSC and PEFC certified papers. The paper production industry is responsible for the planting of new sapling trees on an on-going basis. These saplings are more efficient than old trees at removing carbon from the atmosphere and any waste paper is recycled. We can also offset any carbon footprint by via the world Land Trust.
FAQs
A few Frequently Asked Questions to help quickly answer any queries you may have.
How do I set my catalogue pages up for print?
There are a few rules you should follow when it comes to the layout of your catalogue, such as getting the right bleed area for print. Our team of experts can guide you through the process if you are choosing to design your catalogue yourself, or if you opt for our full design and print service, we will take care of the specifics for you!
What is the best file format for catalogue printing?
PDF is the best file format when it comes to printing catalogues. You can set all your pages on one document, in the order they will be printed. If you are unsure how to do this, we recommend using our professional in-house design service to ensure you get it right the first time round.
What is the best colour format?
We strongly recommend using CMYK colours, as opposed to RGB, as RGB has a much wider colour spectrum, meaning colours you select might not be an option when it comes to printing (which is done in CMYK). Again, speak to our design team for more advice on this, or to have your catalogue designed by us.
How quickly can I get my catalogues printed?
We understand that there is sometimes time pressure on getting your catalogue ready and printed, which is why we try our best to accommodate urgent last minute orders that require a fast turnaround. To get a rough timescale for your project, whether it’s catalogue design, catalogue printing, or both, feel free to reach out to one of our team on 0114 244 4110.
